Of all the commercially available grades of titanium, Grade 4 is the strongest. Titanium makes up the majority of its composition (about 99.2%), with trace amounts of iron (0.5%), oxygen (0.4%), carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen. It is stronger than other CP grades because of its higher oxygen content. It has a yield strength of about 480 MPa and a tensile strength of about 550–680 MPa. It also shows good resistance to corrosion. It has a melting point close to 1,660°C and is very tough, formable, and weldable. In extremely corrosive or high-pressure settings, these pipes continue to function and remain stable.

Industries that need high strength and exceptional corrosion resistance frequently use titanium grade 4 pipes. Because of their durability and light weight, they are utilised in hydraulic systems and aircraft structural components in the aerospace industry. They are perfect for heat exchangers and reactors in chemical processing because they can tolerate harsh media like acids and chlorides. Because of their biocompatibility, the medical industry uses them in implants and surgical instruments. They prolong service life in offshore and marine applications by preventing corrosion from saltwater. These pipes are also appropriate for high-performance industrial systems that operate in challenging environments, nuclear power plants, and desalination.
