Titanium Grade 12 is a titanium alloy that has been strengthened and made more resistant to corrosion by the addition of 0.8% nickel and 0.3% molybdenum. With a typical tensile strength of 483 MPa and yield strength of about 345 MPa, it has good weldability and moderate strength. With an elongation of 18–25%, the alloy retains its ductility and formability. Because of the nickel-molybdenum content, it has a corrosion resistance that is comparable to that of titanium gr 2, but it is better in mildly reducing environments. With a density of 4.5 g/cm³, the alloy functions well in both mildly reducing and oxidising environments.
