Commercially pure titanium (minimum 99.5% Ti) is used to make Titanium Grade 1 Pipes, which have outstanding formability and corrosion resistance. Traces of oxygen (≤0.18%), nitrogen (≤0.03%), carbon (≤0.08%), hydrogen (≤0.015%), and iron (≤0.20%) are commonly present in the alloy. It is the softest and most ductile titanium grade, with a tensile strength of approximately 240–350 MPa, a yield strength of 170–275 MPa, and an elongation of at least 24%. Even in harsh chemical environments, Grade 1 pipes retain exceptional mechanical integrity and are perfect for cold-forming and welding applications.

Grade 1 Titanium Because of their high strength-to-weight ratio, resistance to corrosion, and biocompatibility, pipes are used extensively in a variety of industries. Chlorides, acids, and alkalis are among the highly corrosive fluids handled in chemical and petrochemical plants. Because they don’t corrode in saltwater, the marine industry uses them in heat exchangers, desalination, and seawater systems. For strength and weight reduction, they are utilised in hydraulic systems and airframe structures in aerospace. While pulp and paper mills and power plants appreciate their resilience in challenging conditions, the medical industry uses them for surgical implants and instruments. They are very adaptable in industrial applications due to their ductility and weldability.
