Permalloy Sheets and Plates mainly consist of about 80% nickel and 20% iron, with small amounts of molybdenum sometimes added to improve magnetic performance. This mixture gives Permalloy its outstanding magnetic permeability and low coercivity. Mechanically, it shows good ductility and moderate tensile strength, usually around 500 to 600 MPa, depending on processing conditions. The alloy is stable across a wide temperature range and is easy to form or machine. Its magnetic softness and electrical resistivity make it perfect for precision magnetic shielding and transformer applications, where performance and reliability are essential.
