Nitinol Superelastic Sheet and Plate are mainly composed of 55–56% Nickel and 44–45% Titanium. These alloys exhibit austenitic character at ambient temperature and phase transform to martensite under stress, allowing superelasticity. They recover strains of up to 8%, with ultimate tensile strengths in the range 895–965 MPa. The transition temperature can be controlled based on composition and processing. These plates and sheets also possess good corrosion resistance and fatigue strength, especially in physiological and sea environments, which makes them suitable for repeated mechanical loading and dimensional stability applications.
