Nickel Alloy 201 Forged Fittings consist mainly of nickel (≥99.5%), with small amounts of carbon (≤0.02%), which improves thermal and corrosion resistance. The other trace impurities are iron, copper, and manganese. The alloy has very good mechanical properties, including a tensile strength of about 403 MPa, yield strength of around 103 MPa, and elongation of 45%. It has low carbon content to deliver excellent performance in high-temperature and caustic applications. Nickel 201 has very good ductility and weldability, which makes it ideal for precision-forged fittings employed in severe industrial applications where strength and reliability are important.
