Monel Washers are basically composed of Monel 400, a nickel-copper alloy with about 67% nickel and 30% copper, with minor content of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This composition offers excellent resistance to seawater, acids, and alkalis. Mechanically, Monel Washers have tensile strength of 70–85 ksi (480–590 MPa), yield strength of 25–35 ksi (170–240 MPa), and elongation rate of approximately 30%. The washers sustain structural stability under conditions of high pressure and temperature, offering superior mechanical performance and long-term durability in corrosive and high-stress industrial environments.
