Monel 400 Bar is an alloy that is mainly made of approximately 67% nickel and 30% copper and trace amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. It has a good resistance to seawater, acids, and alkalis. It has a tensile strength of 70–85 ksi (480–590 MPa) and yield strength of 25–35 ksi (170–240 MPa) with approximately 30% elongation. Monel 400 Bars are resistant to corrosion and have strength even at high temperatures. They also withstand stress corrosion cracking and erosion and are suitable for applications involving high-pressure and high-temperature as well as corrosive conditions.
