Nickel (58–63%), chromium (21–25%), and iron (balance) make up the majority of Inconel 601 Wire. Tiny amounts of aluminium (1–1.7%) and carbon (≤0.10%) are added to improve resistance to oxidation and carburisation. It functions well at temperatures up to 1,200°C (2,192°F) and has a tensile strength of roughly 600–700 MPa. Under cyclic heating, the wire shows outstanding metallurgical stability, high mechanical strength, and good creep resistance. Weldable and non-magnetic, Inconel 601 wire maintains its mechanical qualities even after extended exposure to high temperatures.
