Haynes Bars are superalloys made from nickel or cobalt, depending on the specific grade. For instance, Haynes 188 is a blend of cobalt, chromium, tungsten, and nickel, which gives it remarkable oxidation and thermal fatigue resistance. On the other hand, Haynes 230 is nickel-based and shines in high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. These bars typically have tensile strengths ranging from 750 to 1000 MPa, exhibit high creep resistance, and maintain their mechanical stability even at temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F).
