Duplex Steel 2205 Pipes generally consist of 22% chromium, 5–6.5% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and 0.14–0.20% nitrogen, with the rest being iron and trace elements. This unique composition gives them a high tensile strength (≥620 MPa) and yield strength (≥450 MPa)—twice that of regular austenitic stainless steels. The pipes boast excellent fatigue resistance, impact strength, and toughness, even in sub-zero temperatures. They also resist intergranular corrosion effectively and maintain stability in highly corrosive settings, making them ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
