Duplex Steel 2205 Tubing is composed of approximately 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and nitrogen, which gives it remarkable corrosion resistance, especially in chloride environments. It boasts nearly double the yield strength of standard austenitic stainless steel, with a tensile strength of around 620 MPa, yield strength of about 450 MPa, and an elongation of 25%. The balanced duplex microstructure provides high fatigue strength, excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, and enhanced resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making Duplex 2205 tubing perfect for demanding applications.
