The two main alloys used to make copper nickel pipes are 70/30 (70% copper, 30% nickel) and 90/10 (90% copper, 10% nickel). Small amounts of iron and manganese are added to these to increase their strength and resistance to corrosion. These pipes exhibit outstanding ductility, with elongation values of up to 30%, and tensile strengths between 310 and 500 MPa. They are more resilient to erosion, stress corrosion cracking, and seawater corrosion. They are perfect for high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive service conditions in industrial and marine systems because of their mechanical stability and thermal conductivity.
Copper-nickel pipes, typically made of 90% copper and 10% nickel, provide excellent corrosion resistance, especially in sea water environments Their mechanical properties include high tensile strength, ductility good, and good thermoelectric conductivity. These pipes are designed to resist biofouling and stress corrosion cracking, making them ideal for marine applications and heat exchangers Their strength and performance under extreme conditions make them a reliable choice for engineering in the various applications.

Because of their exceptional corrosion resistance and anti-fouling qualities, copper nickel pipes are widely used in marine applications, including condensers, bilge and ballast systems, firewater systems, and seawater cooling systems. Their long-term performance in environments with high salinity makes them the preferred choice for offshore oil and gas platforms. These pipes are also frequently used to transport corrosive, high-temperature fluids in desalination facilities, power plants, and chemical processing industries. George Metals provides copper nickel pipes that are designed to endure harsh environmental conditions. These pipes provide effective fluid transfer and long-lasting durability in demanding operational environments.
