Based in Houston, Texas, George Metals is a top producer and supplier of premium copper nickel coils for use in chemical, industrial, and marine applications. In addition to their exceptional mechanical strength and thermal conductivity, our copper nickel coils are renowned for their exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly in brine and saltwater environments. Our coils, which are made from premium-grade copper-nickel alloys, are designed to satisfy international standards and tailored to particular application needs. George Metals takes great satisfaction in providing globally recognised industries with precisely engineered products that operate dependably, supported by technical know-how and prompt customer service.
90% or 70% copper and the remaining nickel, with trace amounts of iron and manganese, make up the 90/10 and 70/30 alloy grades of copper nickel coils. These components improve corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, especially in high-salinity and saltwater environments. The coils have good ductility, with elongation up to 30%, and tensile strengths between 310 and 500 MPa. They are perfect for demanding thermal and fluid-handling applications because of their exceptional electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as their superior resistance to pitting, erosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
